RT quoted Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin as saying that the Russian capital repelled a major drone attack by Ukraine on November 10.
At least 32 incoming UAVs were shot down by air defenses early on November 10 near the towns of Domodedovo, Ramenskoye and Kolomna southeast of Moscow, Mayor Sobyanin wrote on Telegram.
Moscow Governor Andrey Vorobyev also said a "massive drone attack" was underway and air defences continued to operate across the region.
In Ramenskoye district, a drone crashed in the village of Stanovoye, setting two houses on fire. A 52-year-old woman was injured by shrapnel and hospitalized with burns to her face, neck and arms, the governor said on Telegram.
Several videos posted on social media appear to show a fixed-wing drone being shot down over Moscow. There is also footage of a fire in Stanovoye, showing several private homes almost completely destroyed by the flames.
Sheremetyevo, Domodedovo and Zhukovsky international airports announced temporary suspension of operations due to drone attack.
Orel Governor Andery Klychkov said eight UAVs were destroyed in the sky over the region on the morning of November 10. He added that there were no reports of casualties or damage so far.
