Sputnik quoted the Russian Defense Ministry as saying on November 9 that Russian units in the border area of Kursk province destroyed more than 300 Ukrainian gunmen, 2 infantry fighting vehicles, 1 armored fighting vehicle as well as 6 mortars and 2 electronic warfare stations during the day.
On the same day, the Russian army also repelled seven counterattacks by Ukrainian troops in Kursk province.
“The group’s units repelled seven Ukrainian counterattacks in the direction of the settlements of Daryno, Novaya Sorochina and Novoivanovka, and repelled attacks in the direction of the settlements of Zeleny Shlyakh and Staraya Sorochina. 60 people were killed and wounded, 2 infantry fighting vehicles and 1 armored fighting vehicle, 1 car were destroyed,” the Russian Defense Ministry said in a summary of the process of repelling the Ukrainian army’s attempt to penetrate the territory of the Russian Federation in Kursk.
Units of the "North" army group continued offensive operations against 10 Ukrainian brigades in the areas of Daryno, Leonidovo, Nikolaevo-Daryino, Novoivanovka and Plekhovo.
In total, in the battles in the Kursk region since the beginning of August, Ukraine has lost more than 30,800 soldiers, 189 tanks, 123 infantry fighting vehicles, 107 armored personnel carriers, 1,095 armored fighting vehicles, 833 cars, 262 artillery pieces, 40 missile system launchers, including 11 HIMARS and 6 MLRS made in the US, 11 air defense missile launchers, 7 transport vehicles, 61 electronic warfare stations, 12 counter-battery radars, 4 air defense radars, 26 technical equipment, including 13 technical clearance vehicles, 1 UR-77 mine clearance vehicle, as well as 5 armored vehicle repair and restoration vehicles, and 1 command and control vehicle.
