Delta Airlines plane crashed while landing at Toronto Pearson International Airport, Canada on February 17. The plane overturned on a snow-covered ground.
Delta said 18 passengers were taken to the hospital in the latest plane crash.
Delta determined that the accident occurred at around 2:15 p.m. on February 17, eastern time (2:15 a.m. on February 18, Vietnam time).
Peel regional emergency service - the unit that transports affected people to hospitals in the area - said there were no life-threatening injuries.
According to Ornge - a medical transport service provider, there were 3 people seriously injured, including 1 child, 1 man over 60 years old and 1 woman over 40 years old.
Among the other injured, 12 people were slightly injured, the Peel Regional Emergency Service added.
According to Delta and the US Federal Aviation Administration, 76 passengers and 4 crew members on flight 4819 were evacuated after the plane crash. The flight departs from Minneapolis, USA.
"Our main goal is to care for those affected," Delta said.
The cause of the plane's capsize and fire is not yet clear, but an investigation has been launched, sources told ABC News.
The Federal Aviation Administration said the Canada Traffic Safety Committee would direct the investigation. Investigators from the Federal Aviation Administration and the US National Highway Traffic Safety Committee are providing assistance.
The cause is still unknown, but the accident occurred during bad weather at the scene, with snowfall and strong gusts of wind. Winds can reach up to 64 km/h on land and are even stronger at an altitude of several hundred meters.
