Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche informed that 3 million pages of documents from the Department of Justice's file about Jeffrey Epstein were released to the public on January 30.
He added that many related pages of documents are kept unpublished due to their sensitive nature. These sections include personal identification information of victims, medical records of victims, images depicting child pornography, information related to ongoing cases and any images depicting death or abuse.
Mr. Blanche emphasized that the announcement on January 30, after the Epstein Records Transparency Act is passed, will include 2,000 videos and 180,000 images related to the Epstein case.
According to Mr. Blanche, there are a total of 6 million documents, but due to the presence of child sexual abuse documents and the obligation to protect the rights of victims, not all documents are made public in this publication.
Politico emphasized that the investigation documents related to Jeffrey Epstein released by the US Department of Justice on January 30 have a lot of information about his relationship with the most powerful figures in politics, technology and global issues such as Steve Bannon, Elon Musk and world leaders.
The file contains extensive exchanges of Epstein with Bannon, the conservative American political strategist, showing that the relationship between the two is deeper, broader and more comprehensive than previously known. The document includes thousands of messages between the two, especially in 2018 and 2019, after Mr. Bannon left the White House.
The two often had dinner together and Epstein had repeatedly asked Bannon to use an apartment in Paris, a house in Palm Beach and other accommodations, as well as his private jet. Meanwhile, Bannon taught Epstein about public communication skills, and even instructed him how long his beard should be.
In Elon Musk's relationship, emails from 2012 to 2014 showed that Epstein tried but failed to meet Musk, citing schedule conflicts and other issues. These communications did not reflect any direct meetings between the two.
Notably, Elon Musk was one of the most prominent people to promote the publication of Epstein documents in the summer of last year.
The newly revealed documents also add details about Epstein's vast relationships with foreign government leaders, ambassadors, ministers, former heads of state and international influences, especially in Europe and the Middle East.
Jeffrey Epstein committed suicide in a prison in New York in 2019 while awaiting trial on charges of "sexually abusing dozens of teenage girls at his home in Manhattan, New York and Palm Beach, Florida, and elsewhere", using cash to recruit a "large network of teenage victims", including some as young as 14.
