In the pre-recorded video played at the party, US President Donald Trump thanked and appreciated the actions of countries that voted in support of the US or the white vote.
"I would like to thank all the countries present tonight for standing on the side of the United States in the recent vote at the United Nations General Assembly on Jerusalem," ABC News quoted Donald Trump as saying.
"December 21 will be remembered as a very important day and your actions have been recognized and highly appreciated" - the US President affirmed.
"The United States remains committed to long-term peace between Israel and Palestine. There is no reason for peace not to be implemented. We will continue to work with partners like you to ensure a peaceful and prosperous future for the region and the world. Thank you. God bless you. Wishing you a great new year," Trump concluded.
The US Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley later posted some photos of the party on his Twitter and Instagram accounts with the caption: "A great night with friends...".
Nine countries voted against the draft UN resolution condemning it, including the US and Israel. 35 countries voted against. However, important US allies such as the UK and France were among 128 countries that voted in support of the UN resolution condemning the US.
