Turkey's Environment Ministry said meteorologists recorded a national record temperature of 50 degrees Celsius in Silopi on July 25.
Silopi, in Sirnak province, is just 10km from Turkey's borders with Iraq and Syria.
The previous record temperature, recorded in August 2023, was 49.5 degrees Celsius.
132 weather stations across Turkey recorded record temperatures in July, the statement added.
Turkey is experiencing a period of heat and fire in many places.
Firefighters struggled for four days to put under control a fire in Karabuk province, northern Turkey. This fire forced many people to evacuate.
On July 23, 10 people died while fighting a fire in Eskisehir province.
The heat, expected to last for a few more days, has forced several local governments to issue water restrictions, including the Cesme coastal resort, near Izmir on Turkey's west coast.
Greece, a neighbor, is also seeing heat waves and is struggling with fires in some parts of the country.
