Information about the Ukrainian unmanned aerial attack (UAV) was released by Russian officials on the morning of May 28, local time.
The latest attack is similar to Ukrainian drone attacks on Moscow and other cities last week.
Moscow Mayor Sergei sobyanin shared on the Telegram application that Russian Defense Ministry units had reversed 27 drones heading towards the Russian capital.
sobyanin did not mention casualties or damage, only emphasizing that rescue teams are checking the debris from drones at the locations where they crashed.
The Russian Defense Ministry previously said that its units shot down 112 drones between 9pm and midnight on May 27, local time. 59 of these drones were stopped in Bryansk Oblast, near the Ukrainian border. Drone attacks also occurred in five other regions of Russia.
Bryansk governor confirmed there were no casualties but a house and six cars were damaged in the attack.
In Smolensk Oblast, near the Polish border, the governor said 11 drones were shot down, with no casualties.
Over the past week, Russia has also deployed drones to attack Ukrainian cities. According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's description, more than 900 drones participated in the attack for about 3 days, ending on the morning of May 26.
Russia's three-day drone attack on Ukraine has hit a series of cities and is one of the largest since Russia launched the conflict in Ukraine in early 2022.
Ukrainian officials said airstrikes on the night of May 24 killed at least 12 people, including three children in the Zhytomyr region, west of Kiev.
