On July 13, TASS reported that the Ukrainian army made efforts but failed to use air power to stop the advance of Russian forces near the Alekseyevo-Druzhkovka area, towards the city of Druzhkovka in Donetsk.
"Our units are making progress in the Alekseyevo-Druzhkovka region," said Denis Pushilin, head of the Donetsk region.
The enemy is trying to use airstrikes to hinder our advance along the highway leading straight to Druzhkovka. Our soldiers know how to react, and their efforts are still ongoing," he told TASS.
In the vicinity of Krasnoarmeysk-Dobropolye, Russian forces have consolidated their positions after controlling Vasilyevka. The Russian side is advancing in the Belitskoye and Shevchenko village areas, southeast of Dobropolye.
Previously, on July 12, a battalion commander told TASS that Russian forces still maintained air control over the Alekseyevo-Druzhkovka area, thereby effectively preventing Ukrainian units from supplying the remaining forces in Konstantinovka.
