Russian soldiers seized control of nearly 600km2 of territory in the special operation area with Ukraine in July, 200km2 more than in June, military expert Andrey Marochko told TASS.
According to monitoring sources, the Russian Armed Forces have seized control of about 570km2 of territory, 200km2 more than in June," he said.
Mr. Marochko said that 32 settlements have been under the control of Russian forces in the past month. Most of them belong to the Kharkov region, where the Russian army controls 12 settlements. Second place is the Donetsk People's Republic, where 11 settlements are under the control of the Russian army.
The military expert emphasized that the Northern Combat Group has liberated the most settlements, with 11 areas. According to Mr. Marochko, in July, soldiers of the Northern Combat Group achieved the best results in liberating territory in the special military operation area.
