Russian forces on September 23 carried out a series of group attacks overnight targeting defense enterprises, energy facilities and logistics hubs of Ukraine, the Russian Ministry of Defense said.
According to this agency, the strikes were carried out by drones, targeting facilities in the defense and energy industries, logistics centers and ships used by the Ukrainian army.
In Kiev, Russian forces hit a warehouse storing supplies for the production of unmanned aerial vehicles. In the Vishnevoye residential area of Kiev region, an industrial enterprise named Tukans LLC - a unit manufacturing unmanned aerial vehicle components - is also on the target list.
The Russian Ministry of Defense said that the country's forces attacked a dry cargo ship transporting military supplies en route to the port of Odessa on September 23.
In the city of Odessa, three logistics centers believed to be used to store and distribute military goods and dual-use goods to the Ukrainian army were attacked. A drone component warehouse in the Mirnoye residential area of the Odessa region was also hit.
Meanwhile, the Kiev city government announced that explosions damaged a warehouse in Goloseyevsky district. Mayor Vitaly Klitschko said a gas station in the same district was also damaged, and a fire occurred at warehouses in the area.
After that, Mr. Klitschko added that a traffic infrastructure project in Darnitsky district was damaged, accompanied by a fire at a gas station in this district.
The head of the Kiev regional government Timur Tkachenko said that infrastructure, warehouses and production facilities were damaged in Bucha district, another infrastructure project in Vyshgorod district, and a production facility in Fastov district.
In the Poltava region in northeastern Ukraine, an industrial enterprise in the Poltava district was damaged, according to regional government chief Vitaly Dyakovnich.
The military government of Izyum town in the Kharkov region in the East said that the central and southern areas of the town were without power.
The Ukrainian Emergency Service announced a large fire broke out in the Odessa region in the South, forcing firefighters from the neighboring Nikolayev region to be mobilized to put out the fire. Regional government chief Oleg Kiper said many warehouses were damaged.
The Ukrainian Ministry of Energy announced power outages in Kiev, Sumy and Kharkov regions due to damaged energy infrastructure. Part of the area controlled by Kiev in the Zaporozhye region and the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) also lost power. The number of affected people has not been specified.
