Russia announces additional control of Petrovka residential area in Ukraine

The latest update from Russia shows that pressure is maintained simultaneously on the entire route, from Sumy to Zaporozhye.

Russian forces seized control of the Petrovka residential area of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) on August 13, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced.

Units of the Central Operations Group have controlled the Petrovka residential area in the Donetsk People's Republic through active activities," the statement of the Russian Ministry of Defense stated.

Also according to the latest data from this agency, the Ukrainian army lost about 1,410 soldiers in battles with Russian forces throughout the front lines within 24 hours.

In the area of responsibility of the Northern Operations Group, the Ukrainian side lost more than 200 troops and 1 field artillery. The Russian Ministry of Defense said that units of this group "improved tactical positions and caused livelihood and equipment losses to 2 mechanized brigades, 1 airborne brigade of the Ukrainian army and 2 territorial defense brigades in areas near Ulanovo, Pisarevka, Khrapovshchina in Sumy province and the city of Sumy.

In the direction of Kharkov, the Northern cluster caused losses to 1 mechanized brigade, 2 mechanized infantry brigades, 1 shock regiment of the Ukrainian army and 1 territorial defense brigade in the area near Makarovo, Novoaleksandrovka, Kupino, Podsredneye, Kudeyevka, Vasilyevka, Svetlichnoye, Dergachi and Kazachya Lopan in Kharkov province. The Ukrainian side lost 6 more mechanized vehicles and 2 electronic warfare stations in these areas.

The Western Operations Group caused damage to more than 225 troops, destroying 5 armored fighting vehicles, 14 motorized vehicles, 3 guns, 1 Grad multiple rocket launcher system and 2 electronic warfare stations. The battles took place near Balakleya, Pristen, Vesyoloye, Chervony Stav, Podliman and Petrovka in Kharkov province, along with Svyatogorsk, Stary Karavan and Mayaki in DPR.

The Southern Operations Group caused losses of about 245 troops, 2 armored fighting vehicles, 27 motorized vehicles and two field guns. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, units of this group "occupied more favorable routes and positions", causing losses to 3 motorized brigades, 1 airborne brigade, 1 mountain strike brigade and 1 territorial defense brigade in the Nikolayevka, Orekhovatka, Slavyansk, Kramatorsk, Druzhkovka, Pershomaryevka, Nikanorovka and Nikolaipolye regions of the DPR.

The Central Operations Group - Petrovka control force - caused damage to more than 355 troops, 2 armored fighting vehicles, 12 motorized vehicles and 1 cannon. The battles took place near Dobropolye, Gruzskoye, Sergeyevka, Rubezhnoye, Raiskoye, Krasnopodolye, Annovka, Matyashevo belonging to DPR and Raipole belonging to Dnepropetrovsk province.

The Eastern Operations Group "has advanced deep into the enemy's defense line", causing losses of about 350 troops, 6 armored fighting vehicles and 16 motorized vehicles in the Duboviki, Romanki, Pokrovskoye, Orly, Kolomiytsy areas of Dnepropetrovsk province and Chervony Yar, Krinovka, Zelyonoye, Novosoloshino, Yegorovka, Rybalskoye and Dolinka areas of Zaporozhye province.

The Dnepr operational cluster removed about 35 Ukrainian soldiers from combat, destroying 14 vehicles and 2 jamming stations in the area near Orekhov, Malokaterinovka, Grigorovka and Yurkovka in Zaporozhye province.
