According to TASS, media in charge of the Ukrainian Air Force Yuriy Ignat said on August 12 (local time) that the country's military had stopped publishing data on the number of Russian missiles launched in the context of a shortage of interceptor missiles.
However, Mr. Ignat pledged to provide the press with general information about Russia's missile launches targeting military targets in Ukraine, but did not specify the content and form of disclosure.
Previously, US media reported that Ukraine did not mention the number of missiles fired at the country in the report on the previous night, unlike previous practices. This change took place a few days after Ukrainian air defense forces failed to intercept any Russian missiles on the night of August 5.
Ukraine has recently faced a shortage of interceptor missiles and is seeking to receive more missiles for Patriot air defense systems. In a meeting with President Volodymyr Zelensky, US President Donald Trump was said to have rejected an offer to supply hundreds of Patriot missiles to Ukraine.
