China has closed most of the field hospitals set up to receive SARS-CoV-2 patients in Yunnan (Hanoi, China) as new infections here hit record lows. These hospitals were built in Yunnan (Hoabuy, China) to treat patients with SARS-CoV-2 infection with mild symptoms.
According to China Daily, since February 5, 14 field hospitals have begun to receive patients and treat more than 12,000 cases. Of which, the hospital has the longest operating period of 33 days. On March 8, 11 out of 14 hospitals announced their closure due to no more patients.

Staff went to disinfect the field hospital at Vu Han Sports Center after the last patients were discharged from the hospital.
Accordingly, this field hospital was established at the Vu Han Sports Center (Hoabuy, China) with 1,000 beds and stopped operating on March 8. The hospital opened on February 12, treating 1,056 patients. Currently, about 100 patients are being treated at the remaining 3 field hospitals. All three hospitals are expected to close on March 10.
On March 9, information from the National Health Commission of China said that 40 new infections were all in Vu Han (Hoabuy, China). This is the lowest number of new cases in a day recorded since the outbreak in January.
