Colombian lawmaker shot in the head has passed away at the age of 39

Miguel Uribe, a Colombian Congressman, was shot in the head at a campaign event two months ago and passed away.

The news of the 39-year-old Colombian Congressman Miguel Uribe's passing was announced by his wife - Mrs. Maria Claudia Tarazona - on August 11.

Uribe, a promising presidential candidate, remains in hospital for nine weeks after being shot. He underwent many surgeries after the assassination.

Last weekend, the hospital that treated Miguel Uribe issued a statement saying that his condition had worsened and he had a cerebral hemorrhage.

Colombian authorities have arrested four people in connection with the assassination, including a 14-year-old boy identified as the shooter. The motive for the assassination of Mr. Miguel Uribe by this group of people has not been disclosed by the authorities.

The assassination of Miguel Uribe, a conservative politician who is the nephew of a former Colombian president, has shocked public opinion in the country. Miguel Uribe's mother - a famous journalist - was murdered in 1991 when Miguel Uribe was young, after being kidnapped by a drug gang.
