The information released by the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Rafael Grossi at the UN Security Council meeting on June 13 revolved around Israel's attacks on Iran.
Iran is enriching uranium at a 60% pure level at an experimental plant in Natanz, the uranium enrichment level is close to the level of weapons at 90%.
However, the Fordow facility, built deep in the mountains, produces more enriched uranium. Military experts say that Israel will hardly be able to destroy the facility in Fordow by airstrikes.
Mr. Grossi added that the power system in Natanz was also destroyed and that the power outage in the area containing the centrifying units may have caused damage to the equipment there. IAEA officials confirmed that the radiation levels outside Natanz remain unchanged and are at normal levels.
The Iranian government has informed us about attacks on two other facilities, namely the Fordow fuel enrichment plant and the plant in Isfahan. At this time, we do not have enough information, in addition to confirming that military operations are also taking place around those two facilities," said Rafael Grossi.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that Israel "has crossed every red line, and the international community cannot let these crimes go un punished". Iran reaffirms its inherent right to self-defense under Article 51 of the UN Charter, and will respond decisively and commensurate with Israel's actions.
On the night of June 13 and early morning of June 14, Iran launched missile attacks in retaliation against Israel.
Earlier, on June 13, Israel launched a series of airstrikes across Iran, claiming to have attacked nuclear facilities, missile factories and destroyed military commanders in a campaign to prevent Tehran from making nuclear weapons.
