White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said that US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky are scheduled to meet in person on September 23 (local time) in New York, USA.
The meeting will take place on the sidelines of the 80th United Nations General Assembly session, which gathered leaders from nearly 150 countries.
In addition to the meeting with Mr. Zelensky, Mr. Trump will have bilateral talks with UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres, President of Argentina Rafael Milei and senior officials of the European Union (EU).
The US president is also expected to convene a multilateral summit with leaders of Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Turkey, Pakistan, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates and Jordan.
Mr Trump will speak at the opening session of the 80th United Nations General Assembly, Ms. Leavitt added.

On Telegram, Mr. Zelensky confirmed that he and First Lady Olena Zelenska arrived in New York on September 22.
Along with our wife and the Ukrainian delegation, we went to New York to attend the United Nations General Assembly session. We need support from partners. And this diplomatic week will certainly bring new support, Zelensky wrote.
Earlier, on September 20, Mr. Zelensky said that the purpose of the bilateral meeting was to discuss providing security guarantees for Ukraine as well as strengthening sanctions against Russia, in the context of the ongoing conflict in Eastern Europe.
We expect more sanctions if there are no meetings between the leaders or no ceasefire, Zelensky said in a statement from the Office of the President of Ukraine.
The last face-to-face meeting between Trump and Zelensky took place on August 18 at the White House, at an event attended by European officials, just two days after Trump met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska.
