An ancient royal tomb dating back some 5,000 years was discovered at the Wangzhuang site in central China's Henan Province. About 350 artifacts were unearthed at the site.
The newly discovered ancient tomb is located in the Wangzhuang site in Yongcheng City. The ancient tomb has a total area of over 17 square meters. This is considered a super large size for a tomb at the time when the ancient tomb was built 5,000 years ago, Xinhua noted.
Chinese archaeologists believe that the owner of this ancient tomb was the king of a prehistoric kingdom.
The Wangzhuang archaeological site in China belongs to the middle and late period of the Dawenkou Culture (4,000 - 2,600 BC). The Dawenkou Culture is considered a brilliant culture in the late Neolithic period.
According to CGTN, ancient Chinese tombs discovered at the Wangzhuang site contained a large number of burial artifacts, including jade veils.
