Reuters reported that on May 21, the US Army said it had no plans to celebrate President Donald Trump's birthday on June 14 when he presided over a part of the 250th anniversary of the US Army.
On June 14, the US Army will hold one of its largest celebrations in history with a parade of Abrams tanks, a paid-in flag-raising raincoat for President Trump and a parade across Constitution Avenue - a symbolic route in the heart of the capital Washington.
The parade was not originally planned for the June 14 celebration.
When asked what military organizations the military would organize to celebrate President Trump's 79th birthday, Pentagon spokesman Steve Warren affirmed: "We have no plans for that. This is the Army's birthday. We have had 249 previous times and are very happy that the Commander-in-Chief wants to attend".
The estimated cost for the celebration ranges from $25 to $45 million. The US military said it has taken measures to protect the capital city from the effects of heavy tanks, such as placing metal plates along the route, and pledged to pay for any damage.
