Serbia will never impose sanctions on Russia

Serbia will never impose sanctions on Russia despite great pressure.

Information shared by Serbian Minister of International Economic Cooperation Nenad Popovic at a meeting within the framework of the 16th International Industrial Exhibition Innoprom.

We have never and will never impose sanctions on Russia. We are facing great pressure, even real political threats. We are steadfast and we know who our friends are" - TASS quoted a Serbian official as saying.

He added that the EU is Serbia's main economic partner, but the situation is changing. The entire Serbian energy sector depends heavily on Russia. "We have the most reliable gas supply and the best terms" - Minister Nenad Popovic said, emphasizing that economic cooperation between Russia and Serbia is very important, not only in the energy sector.

Sanctions are the most unfair tool, not bringing any results. No country talks about sovereignty without industrial sovereignty. Everyone is waiting for sanctions to be lifted, because they realize that the Russian market has great potential," he said.

The 16th Innoprom International Industrial Exhibition is taking place in Yekaterinburg (Russia) from July 6 to 9. This event is organized by the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Sverdlovsk regional government of Russia. Innoprom will also be held in India (New Delhi) from September 9 to 11 and in Belarus (Minsk) from September 30 to October 2.
