On March 30, TASS news agency reported that Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico criticized the behavior of the leaders of the European Union (EU). The head of the Slovak government said that there are signs that the European Commission (EC) has reached a certain consensus with Ukrainian President Volodymir Zelensky. According to him, the purpose of this coordination is to limit the supply of oil from Moscow through the strategic Druzhba pipeline.
In a message to the President of the European Commission, Mr. Robert Fico mentioned the operational efficiency of the bloc's current leadership system. He said that the credibility of policy decisions from European officials is being affected when they have not sent an inspection team to the scene to inspect the status of the oil pipeline.

Mr. Fico believes that the European Commission has sufficient influence to influence the head of state of Ukraine to resolve the deadlock. However, officials in Brussels have not yet taken specific steps to resolve the energy crisis that is tending to spread.
Mr. Robert Fico said that the European Commission's approach may inadvertently create difficulties for the activities of the Slovak cabinet and put pressure on public opinion in the country.
The incident originated from the Ukrainian government's decision to restrict Moscow's oil transit routes to Slovakia and Hungary. The Druzhba pipeline, which plays an essential energy source to supply oil refineries in Central Europe. This blow forced the Slovak government to take emergency response measures to protect the economy and people's lives from the risk of severe fuel shortages.
Faced with current pressures, on March 28, the Slovak Prime Minister clearly stated his country's position towards the EU. He said that Slovakia may not support the new EU sanctions imposed on Moscow if the flow through the Druzhba pipeline is not soon restored.
