The New York Times reported that a promotional event called Trump Boat parade took place at Travis Lake in Austin, Texas on September 5. Authorities said at least four boats sank while attending the event.
The Travis County Sheriff's Office has received multiple calls to inform about a number of fishing boats in Travis Lake, starting at 12:15 on the afternoon of September 5 (local time), police spokesperson, Kristen Dark, said. Rescue forces were also present at the scene and brought some people out of the water.
There has been no specific report on the number of injured in the incident, the Travis County Emergency Medical Service said.

The "Trump Boat parade" event was held to promote and support US President Donald Trump. In a Facebook announcement, the event organizers encouraged owners of boats of all shapes and sizes to participate and decorate their boats with as many Trump flags as possible.
The event is scheduled to take place from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on September 5, with boats parading around the lake at a speed of about 16 km/h northwest of Austin City.
Parades in support of the incumbent President have become popular from Florida to Long Island in recent months, ABC News reported.
