The leader selling solid drugs related to the death of a group of Vietnamese people in Bangkok on July 16 has been found by Thai police.

The latest news on the death of 6 Vietnamese people in Thailand, including 2 Vietnamese Americans and 4 Vietnamese people from Khaosod, said that the police have found the tour guide "Tiger" (aka Ho) - the man who was asked by Vietnamese tour guide Phan Ngoc Vu to buy " snake medicine" for Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Lan - 1 of 6 people died from cyanide poisoning at a customer in the Ratchaprasong area, Bangkok.

The report stated that Thai police found "Tiger" on July 18. In this man's apartment, the police and authorities discovered 2 large boxes containing 33 bottles of solid medicine for sale. The pills in these 33 bottles belong to the company "Royal Thai Herb" also known as Tiaw King Tan. These tablets are not cyanide.

Regarding the cyanide that suspect Sherine Chong - a 56-year-old Vietnamese-American woman - could use, Thai authorities checked the luggage of a group of 6 Vietnamese people who died and discovered a small bag containing strange substances. Thai police are investigating whether the substance is cyanide, Khaosod said.

At noon on July 19, Thai media reported that both the Vietnamese Embassy and the US Embassy in Thailand contacted the Institute of Forensic Medicine at Chulalongkorn University on the same day to discuss post-hermity procedures for the victims. The police will decide whether the body can be given to relatives soon or not. The results of the inspection will be announced soon.

Previously, in the investigation into the death of a group of Vietnamese people in Bangkok, Thai police questioned Vietnamese tour guide Phan Ngoc Vu, 35 years old, who knew Nguyen Thi Phuong Lan, 47 years old, one of the 6 victims who died. Phan Ngoc Vu said that Ms. Phuong Lan asked him to buy "shot medicine" - a medicine commonly used to treat joint pain for 11,000 baht ($300).

This Vietnamese tour guide asked a colleague nicknamed "Tiger" to help buy it. At that time, Thai officials said that if the " snake drug" Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Lan bought was poison, this would be another suspect in this poisoning case.

According to Khaosod's sources, suspect Sherine Chong asked Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Lan to be a broker to convince Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong and Mr. Pham Hong Thanh to invest 278,000 USD (about 10 million Thai baht) to build a hospital in Japan.
