The suspect in the death of 6 Vietnamese people in Thailand was identified by the police on the morning of July 17.

The latest news about the death of 6 Vietnamese people in Thailand from Khaosod on the morning of July 17 said that 1 of the 6 people had poisoned the remaining 5 people in a luxury hotel room in Bangkok.

Thai police revealed that the deaths of 6 Vietnamese people were related to debt issues.

In addition, Thai police have identified the identity of the seventh person in the incident, who is believed to have booked a hotel room.

On the night of July 16, Thai police questioned 5 people related to the case of 6 Vietnamese bodies, 2 of whom were questioned with US passports, staying at a luxury hotel near Ratchaprasong intersection, Bangkok. A friend of the sister of one of the deceased victims was also questioned.

Earlier, on the afternoon of July 16, Thailand confirmed that at least six people had died at a 5-star hotel in the Ratchaprasong area of Bangkok, including four Vietnamese and two Vietnamese-American.

Of the 6 people who died, 4 were in the living area and 2 were in the bedroom (3 men and 3 women). The group did not book a hotel room together. A group arrived on July 13, receiving 4 rooms on the 7th floor. Another group arrived on July 14, in a room on the 5th floor.

In total, 5 rooms were reserved for 7 people, 5 people took the room but 6 bodies were found. Thai immigration police also confirmed the data of the five individuals.

The 4 rooms on the 7th floor are expected to be returned to the room at noon on July 15. Their luggage was moved to a room on the 5th floor. The hotel said there was no payment for the room rental.

Thai investigators believe that 6 Vietnamese people died at around 1:53 p.m. on July 15.

After discovering the incident, Bangkok Capital Police and Thai Immigration Police deployed a search for the 7th person because the number of people did not match the room registration.

At that time, Thai police agreed on three investigative directions: Verifying whether the 7th person had actually entered Thailand; Collecting all detailed information about the 6 individuals through the ambassadors and social media accounts of the victims; If there were no 7th person, the police began investigating suspicious motives.

The identities of the 6 victims who died in a hotel in Bangkok are:

1. Ms. Sherine Chong, American citizen, 56 years old, entered Thailand on July 5, entering and exiting Thailand 5 times.

2. Mr. Dang Van Hung, American citizen, 55 years old, entered Thailand on July 7.
