The meteorological agency warns of the risk of flash floods and landslides after heavy rain in some communes and wards of Nghe An, Ha Tinh and Quang Ngai.

Updated bulletin issued at 7:30 am on September 6 from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, in the past 14 hours (from 5 pm on September 5 to 7 am on September 6), the area of Nghe An, Ha Tinh and Quang Ngai provinces had moderate to heavy rain, with very heavy rain in some places such as Yen Thuong 111mm observation station (Nghe An); Border Guard Station 571 is 107.8mm (Ha Tinh); Pho Phong 131.8mm (Quang Ngai);...

The soil moisture model shows that some areas in the above provinces have been near saturation (over 85%) or reached saturation status.

Warning in the next 6 hours, the areas of Nghe An, Ha Tinh and Quang Ngai provinces will continue to have rain with accumulated rainfall commonly from 5 - 10mm, in some places over 30mm.
