President Trump said he has spoken to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu repeatedly in recent days and was well aware of the plan to attack. This is not surprising, Trump said.
However, Mr. Trump also stressed that the Israeli attack did not have the military participation of Washington, and called on Tehran to return to negotiations in the context of the US and Iran preparing to enter the next round of nuclear negotiations in the next few days.
According to Mr. Trump, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) is in a state of high vigilance but the US President still expressed hope for a diplomatic solution to the Iran nuclear problem.
Also on June 13, Iran responded with an airstrike with 100 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), according to the Israeli military.
"All air defense networks are active to intercept threats," said IDF spokeswoman Effie Defrin.
This is an event different from what we have been through so far and we are expected to have a hard time, Defrin added.
Both Israel and Iran have temporarily closed their airspace. The Flightradar24 flight tracking website found almost no aircraft operating in the sky over Israel and Iran on June 13.
