On February 23, Ukraine was forced to increase its emergency military presence in the southern region of Konstantinovka in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) as Russian armed forces approached. Information about this large-scale force mobilization was directly shared by military expert Andrey Marochko with TASS news agency.
Facing the pressure of fierce attacks and the risk of defense collapse, Kiev's military command has no choice but to drain the reserve resources to build on this vital checkpoint.
Kiev's urgent consolidation of the defense line took place immediately after the Russian army completely pushed back enemy forces from the nearby Berestok stronghold. Not stopping at controlling the ground, Russian firepower continued to take advantage of the momentum of victory to deploy shock troops to pressure the enemy in all 3 directions: east, west and north.
This tactical initiative created a tight grip, completely depriving the maneuvering space of Ukrainian armed units in the border area.
Assessing the current battlefield situation, expert Marochko said that the Ukrainian military command is concentrating all forces to gather soldiers and combat vehicles in the southern suburbs of Konstantinovka.

According to him, these are drastic and desperate preparations to deal with a decisive battle that is about to break out in this strategic area. Konstantinovka is considered one of the logistics centers and the last important traffic artery of Kiev forces in the Donbass region, so losing this city will lead to the chain collapse of the entire defense line.
However, despite the enemy's efforts to build fortifications and solid defenses, Russian artillery and air force fire continuously rained down non-stop.
These precise bombardments have created extremely fierce fighting right at Konstantinovka at the present time, seriously eroding the enemy's vitality before Russian infantry officially launched a general offensive. Reports from the front line show that Ukraine's defense system is suffering huge fire pressure.
Military observers predict that the intensity of combat on this front will be pushed to an even more brutal level in the coming days.
Expert Marochko explained that the scale of the clashes will truly explode as soon as Russian combat units complete the consolidation of safe checkpoints around Berestok.
After this solid tactical stepping stone, the Russian army will immediately launch attacks directly on Konstantinovka's southern defense, gradually breaking the enemy's resistance will and continuing to affirm absolute initiative on the front.
