On September 27, the Danish Armed Forces said that unidentified unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were spotted near Danish military facilities overnight.
The Danish Ministry of Defense can confirm that it has observed UAVs at some of our sites overnight. Many forces have been deployed, said a Danish military spokesman.
The Armed Forces did not specify which areas had strange UAVs.
Meanwhile, police said they observed the UAV near the Karup air base in western Denmark.
Also on September 27, Norwegian police confirmed that they are also investigating the possibility of UAVs appearing near the Orland air base - the main base of the F-35 fighter squadron - central Norway.
Gwards at the base recorded several times outside the fence early on September 27 (local time), said a spokesman for the Norwegian Joint Stock Command.
Previously, on September 22, Copenhagen Airport - the busiest airport in the Nordic region - had to close for many hours after detecting many large UAVs appearing in the airspace.
Denmark also requires five smaller airports, both civil and military, to temporarily close in the following days.
Danish authorities called the incursions hybrid attacks, while Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen described them as the most serious attack on Danish critical infrastructure to date.
