The Spokesperson of the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs spoke out about the situation in the Middle East, opposing the act of using force to attack sovereign countries.

On March 3, 2026, answering reporters' questions asking to know Vietnam's reaction to the serious escalating tensions in the Middle East today, Vietnamese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Pham Thu Hang affirmed:

Vietnam's position was clearly stated on February 28, 2026.

Vietnam opposes acts of using force to attack sovereign countries, especially civil infrastructure, causing many civilian casualties.

These actions have caused serious damage and continue to threaten the lives, safety and interests of people, including Vietnamese citizens in the region, causing instability for economic activities, peace and stability in the region and the world.

Vietnam calls on relevant parties to act responsibly, strictly comply with international law, the Charter and relevant resolutions of the United Nations, respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of nations, resume negotiations, and create favorable conditions for dialogue towards resolving differences by peaceful means, for the benefit of the people, for peace, stability and development in the region and in the world.
