The number of US soldiers injured in the war with Iran has increased to about 200, the US military said on March 16, as the conflict entered its 3rd week.
The US Central Command (CENTCOM) said that most soldiers were only slightly injured and 180 people have returned to duty. Among them, 10 were seriously injured.
Soldiers were injured in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Bahrain, Iraq and Israel - CENTCOM added.
Since Iran launched attacks on US military bases after the conflict broke out on February 28, 13 US soldiers have been killed.
Iran's attacks also targeted diplomatic missions, hotels and airports, and damaged energy infrastructure in the Gulf Arab countries.
Last week, British media reported 150 US soldiers injured in the conflict, showing the level of danger from Iran's attacks.
Meanwhile, the US has conducted airstrikes targeting more than 7,000 targets in Iran.
An unnamed US official said that about 10 MQ-9 UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles) were destroyed in the war.
The MQ-9 Reaper UAV is manufactured by General Atomics, can fly at an altitude of about 15km for more than 27 hours, collect intelligence information using modern cameras, sensors and radar.
This type of UAV was commissioned into the US Air Force 16 years ago and can be equipped with weapons such as air-to-ground missiles.
