According to the Organizing Committee of the Vietnam Mountain Marathon (VMM) 2025, the 100 km distance will start from 8:00 p.m. on September9; distances from 10 km to 70 km will start on September 20 in Sa Pa ward, finishing at Topas Ecolodge, Ban Ho commune, Lao Cai province.
The closing ceremony will be held at the Central Guard yard of Sa Pa Ward on September 21, 2025.
In the 2025 tournament, the Organizing Committee will welcome nearly 3,300 athletes from 47 countries, including nearly 2,000 athletes participating in super marathons from 50km to 100km.
The two distances in the World Trail Majors scoring system at VMM 2025 are 50km and 100km with the participation of famous athletes such as: Peiquan You - one of China's top runners; Centurion North Downs Way 100 miles champion in England...
Famous female athletes in the women's 100 km distance include Wenfei Xie from China, Giang Thi Linh, Le Phuong Vy, Le Thi Hang, Nguyen Thi Tra Giang of Vietnam.
Held annually since 2013, VMM is a combination of the passion for running on the terrain and the majestic mountains of Sa Pa National Tourist Area.
