The ASIAD 20 Organizing Committee's affirmation conference closed on September 9 in Japan.
Representatives of countries with sports delegations competing in ASIAD 20 all participate and carry out procedures to confirm the final official number of members with the Organizing Committee.
Representatives of the Vietnamese Sports Delegation attended this confirmation conference and registered the official list of 498 members, including 349 athletes participating in ASIAD 20.
At the Conference, some cases of Vietnamese athletes suffering injuries were registered for replacement and in accordance with the regulations of the Organizing Committee.
ASIAD 20 will be officially held from September 19 to October 4 in Aichi-Nagoya (Japan).
Some sports have early programs, starting from September 10th.
Vietnamese sports will have athletes competing in 33 sports, sub-sports including: athletics, shooting, rowing, sepak takraw, karate, canoeing, swimming, gymnastics, taekwondo, archery, boxing, weightlifting, wrestling, cycling, wushu, kurash, jujitsu, judo, golf, handball, badminton, fencing, sailing, Esports, break jumping, mixed martial arts - MMA, women's indoor volleyball, men's indoor volleyball, women's beach volleyball, men's beach volleyball, women's football, men's football.
At the send-off ceremony to participate in ASIAD 20 of the Vietnamese Sports Delegation, Head of Delegation Nguyen Hong Minh said that the professional preparation of many national teams has been completed.
Vietnamese sports aims to win 4 or more gold medals at ASIAD 20.
According to registration with the Organizing Committee at the Conference affirming ASIAD 20, the Vietnamese sports delegation will compete in 218 events in Japan.
