On the morning of July 21, an information announcement ceremony about the Pocari Sweat Run 2026 International Professional Running Tournament (PSR 2026) took place in Hanoi.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Pham Xuan Tai - Deputy Director of Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports said: "The running movement across the country has developed strongly, including Hanoi City. Running to improve health is also highly appreciated by the community for its strong connection, conveying cultural values, positive life messages, spreading power and bringing sports economic value.
Over the past time, Hanoi has organized many races, many units when organized have brought good values. We are very happy that Pocari Sweat Run 2026 chose Hanoi to organize, and believe that with experience and receptiveness, the tournament will be successful and contribute value to the Capital, contributing to promoting culture, heritage, and symbols to the domestic and international community".

According to the plan, the race will gather about 5,000 athletes competing in 4 distances including 3km, 5km, 10km and 21km. The 21km half marathon starts at Thong Nhat Park, while the remaining distances start from Hoa Binh Park. All athletes will finish at Hoa Binh Park.
Pocari Sweat Run was first held in Singapore in 2012 before expanding to many Asian countries. In Vietnam, the tournament appeared in 2019 and has accompanied more than 30,000 participants after 5 seasons in Ho Chi Minh City.
According to information from the organizers, the track has been surveyed many times, arranged with medical forces, volunteers and a traffic diversion system throughout the route. In addition, water supply and ion supplementation stations are arranged with high density to support athletes to maintain physical condition throughout the competition process.
The competition route is also designed to pass through many typical spaces of the Capital. Notably, the 3km distance is included in the program to create conditions for beginners to get acquainted with running.
The Expo area, the recovery area after reaching the finish line, along with the set of competition items, medals and Finisher shirts specifically for athletes completing the 21km distance, are also highlights of this year's season.
Pocari Sweat Run 2026 will take place in two days, September 12 and 13, with the official competition day on September 13.
