On the afternoon of August 27, in Ho Chi Minh City, Voice of Vietnam (VOV) in coordination with the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) organized the announcement of the 2026 National Futsal Cup, with the participation of 8 teams including: 8 teams competing at the 2026 National Futsal Cup Thai Son Nam Ho Chi Minh City, Thai Son Bac, Sahako, Hanoi, Tan Hiep Hung Ho Chi Minh City, Saigon Titans Ho Chi Minh City, Luxury Ha Long and Tre Ho Chi Minh City.
The eight teams are divided into 2 groups, playing in a round-robin format to calculate points. The top two teams in each group qualify for the semi-finals. The remaining teams will compete for rankings to determine the 5th and 7th positions.
Defending champion Thai Son Bac will enter the tournament with the goal of defending the throne. Meanwhile, traditional teams such as Thai Son Nam TPHCM, Sahako or Hanoi are expected to create an exciting competition for the championship.
The 2026 National Futsal Cup also marks the 10-year journey of the organizers in accompanying and developing the national futsal tournament system.
The tournament takes place at a time when Vietnamese futsal is showing positive signs in the international arena. Notably, the Vietnamese futsal team just won the runner-up position at the 2026 Continental International Friendly Futsal Tournament.
The champion of the 2026 National Futsal Cup will receive the Cup, Gold Medal and a prize of 200 million VND. The runner-up team will receive 100 million VND, while the third-placed team will be awarded 50 million VND.
The first matches of the tournament will take place from August 5 at Lanh Binh Thang Gymnasium (HCMC).
