This is the 3rd year that the futsal tournament for U20 age groups has been organized and attracted the participation of 10 teams, an increase of 2 teams compared to the previous season, including: An Phu, Khanh Hanh Tay Ninh, Nha Trang, Sahako, Saigon Eminence, Saigon Titans, Tan Hiep Hung HCMC, Thai Son Bac, Thai Son Nam HCMC and Xa - HCMC.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Minh Chau - Deputy General Secretary of VFF, Head of the Organizing Committee - emphasized the importance of the National U20 Futsal Championship in the long-term development strategy of Vietnam futsal.
The tournament is not only an opportunity for clubs to invest systematically in youth training, but also opens the way for young talents who are passionate about futsal to practice, assert themselves and aim to become professional futsal players, contributing to building a successor to the national team.
The teams will compete in a round-robin format to calculate ranking points in each group. The top and second-placed teams in each group will qualify for the semi-finals. The two teams that won the semi-final will compete for the championship in the final, while the two teams that lost in the semi-final will meet in the third-place match.
The tournament will take place from September 7 to September 19, 2025, at the Chanh Hung Ward Futsal Club Gymnasium (HCMC). Thai Son Bac is the defending champion after a thrilling 3-2 victory over Saigon Titans in the 2024 season final.
