In the relegation round of the 2024 National Volleyball Championship, the 4 teams at the bottom of the group stage, Vietinbank, Thai Binh, Quang Ninh and Hanoi, will compete in a round-robin format. The results in the relegation round will be added together with the results of the 4 teams meeting in the group stage.
After the first two matches, Vietinbank and Thai Binh successfully stayed in the league. Partly because they had the advantage in previous head-to-head results.
Quang Ninh and Hanoi will be relegated to the A division next year. Since the beginning of the tournament, Quang Ninh has only won 3 matches, while Hanoi has only 1 victory. It is not too surprising that the two teams have to say goodbye to the national championship.
The final round of the relegation round tomorrow (November 17) will be a formality. Thai Binh will face Hanoi at 2:00 p.m., while Quang Ninh will face Vietinbank at 5:00 p.m.
