On August 26, four fighters including Nguyen Dinh Huy (65kg men), Lang Quoc Cuong (55kg men), Vuong Tri Hai (50kg men) and Trieu Thu Thuy (45kg women) went to Bahrain to participate in the 2025 Asian Youth MMA Championship.
We aim to win at least one medal. The fighters will compete in modern MMA and traditional MMA at the tournament. Athletes compete until August 31
This is the first time the Asian General Martial Arts Association has organized a championship for young martial artists. The tournament is expected to attract a large number of MMA fighters from across the continent.
This Youth Championship is a preparation period for Bahrain to test the organization capacity before hosting the 2025 Asian Youth Sports Festival in October. MMA is included in the official program of the Congress.
The coaching staff of the Vietnam Youth MMA Team said that they will evaluate the achievements of each fighter at the 2025 Asian Youth Championship to review the official force participating in the 2025 Asian Youth Sports Festival (AYG 2025).
The Vietnam MMA team participated in the 2023 Asian Championship with one gold medal, one silver medal, and two bronze medals.
After the 2025 Asian Youth MMA Championship, the Vietnam MMA Team continues to build forces to prepare for the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand.
