Former foreign player of LPB Ninh Binh attends VNL

The Thai women's volleyball team has just announced the list of 18 players participating in the first week of the 2025 International Volleyball League (Volleyball Nations League, also known as VNL) taking place from June 4 to June 8.

Top faces of Thai women's volleyball such as Ajcharaporn Kongyot, Chatchu-on Moksri, Thatdao Nuekjang... are all present.

Young faces such as Donphon Sinpho, Warisara Seetaloed or Kanokporn Sangthong are all present. Notably, Warisara is a familiar foreign player of Vietnamese women's volleyball.

In the 2024 season, she made a strong impression when wearing the LPB Ninh Binh women's team jersey, becoming the top scorer of the Ancient Capital team alongside opposite Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen.

Possessing good physical strength, sharp strategic vision, agility and fiery competitive spirit, it is not too surprising that the former foreign player of LPB Ninh Binh is included in the squad of the Thai national team for VNL 2025.

In week 1 of VNL 2025, Thailand is in Group 3, competing in Beijing, China along with strong opponents such as host China, Poland, Turkey, Belgium and France.

Women's team returns to Hanoi

After a period of training in Quang Ninh, the Vietnam women's team moved to Hanoi.

Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his team will continue to practice at Dong Anh District Gymnasium to prepare for the 2025 AVC Nations Cup Asian Volleyball Championship.

The tournament will take place from June 7 to June 14 with the participation of 11 teams. The Vietnamese women's team is currently the defending champion and also the host team of this year's tournament.

According to the draw results, the Vietnam women's volleyball team is in Group A with opponents Australia, Taiwan (China), Hong Kong (China) and India.

Assessing the correlation between strength and expertise, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his team fell into a "easier" group when the opponents were not too strong.

Dang Thi Hong practices with the U21 women's team

Currently, the U21 Vietnam women's team is practicing in Quang Ninh to prepare for international tournaments in 2025.

Notably, despite being called up to the national women's team, three players, Dang Hong, Phuong Quynh and Anh Thao, still practiced together with the Vietnam U21 women's team.

All three of the above faces are pillars of the youth team, playing an important role in the squad.

Therefore, it is likely that coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet has just created conditions for the three players to get acquainted with the team when both teams were training in Quang Ninh but still practicing with the U21 women's team in parallel to prepare for important tournaments.
