According to research, in the 2026-2027 season, the Japanese national volleyball championship will continue to create favorable conditions for foreign players to play. It is known that the organizers will allow 4 foreign players to play in the following season, including a maximum of 3 foreign players from Europe and America.
Notably, Asian foreign players will not be limited to playing. This is good news for main attacker Tran Thi Thanh Thuy, middle blocker Bich Thuy as well as Vietnamese athletes.

Thanh Thuy and Bich Thuy are playing impressively in the Japan National Championship 2025-2026. With the new regulations, this is a great opportunity for the two players to continue playing in the leading volleyball background in Asia. In addition, Vietnamese players will increase their chances of going abroad if scouts target them.
The implementation of the "open" policy for foreign players is assessed to help Japanese volleyball continue to improve the competitiveness, professional quality of the tournament as well as domestic players.
Ho Chi Minh City Police to have a new head coach soon
According to research, in phase 1 of the 2026 National Volleyball Championship, the Ho Chi Minh City Police men's volleyball team will be led by coach Nguyen Van Hanh. It is known that management levels are currently assigning professional training tasks to this coach.
In the 2025 season, the Ho Chi Minh City Police men's team won 3rd place. At the end of the season, this team parted ways with head coach Duong Tan Vinh. The successor, coach Nguyen Van Hanh, received much hope.
He is a person with a lot of experience when he won the national championship with Ninh Binh volleyball, Duc Long Gia Lai (old) and Ho Chi Minh City. When switching to coaching work, coach Nguyen Van Hanh participated in professional courses organized by the Vietnam Volleyball Federation.
Phase 1 of the 2026 national championship will take place from April 6 to 19. 4. Teams, including Ho Chi Minh City Police, are actively completing their forces and expertise to enter the competition.
