Nguyen Thi Trinh becomes captain to replace Bich Tuyen
LPB Ninh Binh recently announced the list of 14 athletes who will participate in round 2 of the 2025 National Volleyball Championship.
Most notably, middle blocker Nguyen Thi Trinh was given the captain's armband, replacing opposite Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen - who is currently unable to play due to a recurrent injury and was assigned to be the team's caretaker during this period.

Nguyen Thi Trinh becoming captain may be surprising but quite appropriate.
In recent training sessions, coach Thai Thanh Tung has experimented with Nguyen Trinh in the opposite position to adapt to the situation of not having one of the main hitters, Bich Tuyen.
Although not a strong fan, Trinh has shown a sense of responsibility, flexibility and good leadership skills
Bich Tuyen's absence is clearly a big loss for LPB Ninh Binh, especially in attack. However, with her new role, Nguyen Thi Trinh is not only an important blocker, but also a spiritual support for the whole team, promising to help the club overcome the big challenge in the upcoming round 2.
Thanh Thuy is ranked in the best position
In the latest training session of Gunma Green Wings club, head coach Sakamoto made a notable adjustment when placing Tran Thi Thanh Thuy in the position of headquarters teacher.
This is an important change compared to the time she was playing for PFU BlueCats - where Thanh Thuy was once placed to play as a middle blocker, a role that was not her forte.

Mr. Sakamoto's decision shows Thanh Thuy's understanding and correct assessment of her ability. The main striker born in 1997 stands out with her ability to attack the wing, block the ball effectively and play comprehensively.
Playing in a familiar position also gives Thanh Thuy the opportunity to demonstrate her class and international competition experience. With ideal height, high jumping ability and perfecting techniques, she is expected to be one of the important pillars in the Gunma Green Wings squad in the upcoming V.League 1 Japan tournament.
