Thanh Thuy's new milestone
Striker Tran Thi Thanh Thuy and Kuzeyboru club concluded the Ahmet Goksu friendly women's volleyball tournament before the new season. In the end, the host Zeren won the championship, Kuzeyboru won the runner-up position, while Aras Kargo won the third place. The MVP (Most comprehensive player) title was awarded to Kubra Akman of Zeren club.
This is a new milestone for Thanh Thuy, marking the first time a Vietnamese volleyball player has competed in Europe. In the recent tournament, Thanh Thuy scored 1 point in the match against Aras Kargo. In both matches, coach Mehmet Bedestenlioglu sent the Vietnamese hitter onto the court in set 3.
Thanh Thuy and her teammates have returned to the club to continue preparing for the new season of the Turkish national championship, starting from October 5.
Foreign players of Duc Giang Chemicals team come to Vietnam
Today (September 16), foreign player Elena Samoilenko (Russia) came to Vietnam to join the Duc Giang Chemicals Club to prepare for the 2024 Asian Volleyball Club Championship.
Elena is 1m95 tall and plays as a main striker.She is the player who scored the most points in the Philippine National Championship for the PLDT High Speed Hitters team in 2022.Elena has also played in Russia, France, Kazakhstan, and China.
In addition to the addition of the Russian hitter, Duc Giang Chemicals also welcomes the return of libero Le Thi Thanh Lien after a period of absence.Duc Giang Lao Cai Chemicals still has all the pillars such as Tu Linh, Bich Thuy, Ly Thi Luyen or setter Tichaya Boonlert (Thailand), ready to head towards the tournament about to start in Thailand.

According to the regulations, the men's and women's teams that win the 2024 National A-League will have a chance to play in the 2025 National Volleyball Championship. The Ho Chi Minh City Police men's team aims to reach the final round of the 2024 National A-League to have a chance to win a promotion spot.
To achieve this goal, the Police team has a policy of hiring foreign players to compete in the upcoming A-class finals.
Coach Vu Van Duan of the Ho Chi Minh City Police men's team said that the team is actively looking for suitable foreign players.
