Thanh Thuy faces a player taller than 2m
On the afternoon of December 17, the draw ceremony for the 2025 World Volleyball Championship took place in Bangkok, Thailand.
As a result, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team fell into Group G with Poland, Germany and Kenya. These are 3 opponents who are all ranked above the Vietnamese team in the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) rankings.
Against the Polish team, main striker Tran Thi Thanh Thuy and her teammates will have the opportunity to compete with the famous blocker of this team, Agnieszka Korneluk. She has an impressive height of over 2m, and possesses extremely sharp blocking moves. Agnieszka Korneluk is always in the top blockers in the major tournaments she participates in and is the fear of many top hitters.
In addition to Poland, the German team with its modern and methodical playing style is also a huge challenge for the Vietnamese women's volleyball team. Meanwhile, Thanh Thuy and her teammates will have a rematch with the Kenyan team. This is the opponent who played a friendly match with the Vietnamese team in France on the sidelines of the 2023 FIVB Challenger Cup.
National women's team receives honor
Recently, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced the results of the vote for 10 typical events in the fields of culture, sports and tourism in 2024. Volleyball is the only sport honored in this list.
Accordingly, the event of the Vietnamese women's volleyball team winning the world medal for the first time and the Asian championship for the second time is one of the 10 typical cultural, sports and tourism events in 2024.
This is the honor and pride of the national women's volleyball team in particular and Vietnamese volleyball in general.
Continuing the recent successes, in 2025, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet's team will participate in the World Volleyball Championship. Thanh Thuy and her teammates will face the world's top teams when they are in Group G with Poland, Germany and Kenya.
Thu Hoai shows off her husband

Thu Hoai's partner posted a photo of him attending the 9th National Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union, term 2024 - 2029. Bao Anh is currently working at the Thai Binh Provincial Youth Union.
Thu Hoai and Bao Anh held their wedding ceremony on December 2nd in their hometown of Thai Binh. Afterwards, the couple had a long honeymoon in Thailand before returning to their home country and returning to their normal lives and work.
