Main attacker Nguyet Anh attends the 13th National Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union
The 13th National Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, term 2026-2031, officially opened on June 24, and volleyball champion Pham Thi Nguyet Anh was honored to be one of the delegates to attend.
Nguyet Anh was present as the official delegate of the Army Youth Committee.
Currently, she is a professional military major in the Women's Volleyball Team of the Information Corps. The delegation of the Army Youth attending this Congress includes 55 comrades (46 men, 9 women).
Player Nguyet Anh is playing in the first line squad of the Information Corps team.
In round 1 of the 2026 National Club Championship, this main attacker was brought to the field by coach Pham Van Long at some important times.
In 2025, Nguyet Anh was once concentrated in the Vietnamese Women's Volleyball Team during some training phases. However, she is not concentrated in the Vietnamese Women's Volleyball Team at the present time.
Pham Quynh Huong will be in the national team
Young player Pham Quynh Huong is almost certain to be facilitated by the managing unit of Binh Chung Thong Tin to gather for the Vietnamese Women's Volleyball Team from July.
In May, Quynh Huong was once included in the call-up list by coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet to perform the task of the AVC Cup 2026 tournament.
However, the player has been proposed by the managing unit to the Vietnam Volleyball Federation to focus on the appropriate time because he must take the high school graduation exam.
Quynh Huong has just been named in the 14 players expected to be added to the training camp of the Vietnamese Women's Volleyball Team.
The Information Corps unit will have a written response to the Vietnam Volleyball Federation this week regarding Quynh Huong's case.
World ranking of Vietnamese youth women's volleyball team
Currently, in the FIVB world junior women's volleyball rankings, the Vietnamese team (age group 18-19) is ranked last. We are currently at 57th position in the FIVB rankings.
However, the rankings and scores of young women's volleyball teams (age group 18-19) have not been updated by FIVB from July 15, 2025 to date.
Last year, teams were updated with scores when participating in the 2025 U19 Women's World Championship.
This year, young women's volleyball teams (including U18 Vietnam) will participate in the 2026 AFC U18 Championship in Thailand from July 1st to July 7th. The results of the tournament will be updated by FIVB to accumulate points.
The performance of the 2026 AFC U18 Championship will determine the official spot for teams in the Asian region to participate in the 2027 FIFA U19 World Championship.
