National women's team rankings
Today (December 31) is the last day of 2024. According to the latest ranking of the World Volleyball Federation (FIVB), the Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team ends in 2024 with 33 positions and a score of 112.73 points.
Continuing the impressive achievements of 2023, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his team have continuously brought home titles in 2024 when they won the AVC Challenge Cup, 3rd place FIVB Challenger Cup, 2nd place SEA V.League, 5th place Future Stars (friendly) and 2nd place VTV Cup.
In particular, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team has won a ticket to the 2025 World Volleyball Championship. This is a historic milestone, marking the first time that Vietnamese women's volleyball has participated in the highest level tournament for national teams.
Duc Giang Chemicals is reinforced
After Quang Ninh had to play in the national A league, some prominent faces of the team were asked by clubs in the national championship to borrow them to play in the 2025 season.
Most recently, libero Le Thi Yen has reached an agreement and will be loaned to Duc Giang Chemicals to compete in the 2025 national championship. Previously, this libero also played for Duc Giang Chemicals in the VTV9 - Binh Dien Cup 2024. Le Thi Yen is a member of the Vietnamese women's team participating in international tournaments in 2024.
Thus, up to now, Quang Ninh team has 2 players on loan, Vi Thi Nhu Quynh (Vietinbank) and Le Thi Yen (Duc Giang Chemicals). Both of these athletes will still compete in the A-League in Quang Ninh's colors.
Quang Ninh women's team stops cooperating with Thai coach
The contract of Thai coach Narachata Taweewitchakariya with the Quang Ninh women's team ended today (December 31). It is known that after careful consideration and based on the current situation, the mining team did not renew the contract with this expert.
Through research, the Quang Ninh women's team will look for a domestic coach to lead the team in the 2025 season.
Expert Narachata Taweewitchakariya will take over as head coach in 2024 after the team parted ways with Mr. Nguyen Tuan Kiet. Despite their efforts, Quang Ninh did not achieve high results in the 2024 National Volleyball Championship and had to play in the 2025 National A-Class Championship.
