The reason why Bich Thuy is not allowed to go abroad; The time for the national women's team to gather... are notable news in the Vietnam volleyball news on December 6.

The reason why Bich Thuy is not allowed to go abroad

Striker Tran Thi Thanh Thuy had a successful career playing for PFU BlueCats (Japan) before leaving at the end of the 2023-2024 season. This team was also present in Vietnam to participate in the VTV9 - Binh Dien Cup.

In addition to competing with many strong teams and winning the championship, PFU BlueCats scouts have had time to observe Vietnamese athletes. The middle blocker duo Tran Thi Bich Thuy and Ly Thi Luyen of Duc Giang Chemicals have caught the eye of the blue team.

However, this overseas deal did not succeed. It is known that PFU BlueCats only wanted to recruit one of the two players above. According to rumors, the chosen name was Bich Thuy. The fact that PFU BlueCats changed the original terms, only hiring one player is said to be the main reason why Duc Giang Chemicals decided not to let their player go to Japan to compete.

National women's team training time

After the conclusion of the 2024 National Volleyball Championship, the Volleyball Department (Department of Sports and Physical Training) and the Vietnam Volleyball Federation (VFV) also completed the development of training plans for the two Vietnam women's volleyball teams and the Vietnam U20 youth women's volleyball team in 2025.

Representatives of the units said that the gathering schedule of the two teams will be after the first round of the first round of the 2025-2026 National Volleyball Championship. The above time is expected in April 2025.

In addition, the training program of the national volleyball teams will be carried out for a long time to serve the goals of participating in international tournaments, focusing on the 33rd SEA Games.

The professional training program of each team is decided by the head coach of each team. VFV still trusts the professional work of coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet (women's team) and coach Tran Dinh Tien (men's team).

VTV Binh Dien Long An encourages young players

The VTV Binh Dien Long An club homepage has just re-posted a video recording the performance of middle blocker Le Nhu Anh in the second phase of the 2024 national championship. The team wrote: "Besides young setter Tra My, middle blocker Le Nhu Anh is the young face with the best performance in the final match of the 2024 championship. A match that the commentator had to exclaim that 'middle blocker Nhu Anh played like he was possessed'.

It can be seen that, after being promoted to the first team in 2022 and officially competing with her seniors when she was only 17 years old, Nhu Anh quickly matured and gradually improved under the guidance of her older sister, aunt Nguyen Thi Ngoc Hoa.

Nhu Anh is also one of the three main scorers of U20 Vietnam. Next year, the Vietnamese youth team will participate in the U21 Women's Volleyball World Championship. Most likely, the young middle blocker of VTV Binh Dien Long An is still one of the mainstay players, expected to shine.
