This is the first major sporting event after the province's merger, associated with the 2nd Ca Mau Crab Festival and successfully welcoming the Party Congresses at all levels.
The race was organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with Vietrace 365 Joint Stock Company. Vietnam National Industry - Energy Group (PETROVIETNAM) is the brand sponsor. Ca Mau Petroleum Fertilizer Joint Stock Company; Vietnam Oil and Gas Power Corporation (represented as Ca Mau Petroleum Power Corporation) and Vietnam Gas Power Corporation are the main sponsors.
The race is part of the "Ca Mau - Destination 2025" Program associated with the series of activities of Ca Mau Crab Festival - 2nd time in 2025; this is also one of the activities to celebrate the 1st Ca Mau Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030, towards the 14th National Party Congress.
The race is expected to open at 8:00 p.m. on November 15, at Hung Vuong Square (Bac Lieu Ward), taking place from November 15 to 16 at Hung Vuong Square and the streets of Bac Lieu Ward, Hiep Thanh Ward, Vinh Hau and will be broadcast live on the broadcast of Newspaper and Radio, Ca Mau Television.
According to the report of the Organizing Committee, after 3 weeks of launching, nearly 2,000 athletes have registered to participate in running at distances. The difference in this year's race compared to previous years is that the prize structure will be expanded in the following events and age groups; at the same time, the Organizing Committee will create conditions to increase the number of people in Ca Mau province registering to participate in the race, especially children.
Speaking at the tournament organizing committee meeting on September 18, Vice Chairman of Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee Ngo Vu Thang highly appreciated the proactiveness and careful preparation of the Organizing Committee; at the same time, he acknowledged the special feelings of the sponsor for the race as well as for Ca Mau province in the past time. Vice Chairman Ngo Vu Thang suggested that members of the Organizing Committee, based on the general plan of the province, develop a detailed plan for each assigned content, ensure the organization of a quality and impressive race, contributing to promoting the image, land and people of Ca Mau to domestic and foreign friends.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee instructed the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to coordinate with the consulting unit to closely and thoroughly prepare professional work; make a careful plan as well as have a backup plan for ensuring security, order, traffic safety before, during and after the race; coordinate with specialized agencies to maintain and repair routes, ensure absolute safety; arrange forces to serve well the work of health, environmental sanitation and logistics throughout the race.
