20 years of sustainable journey
The first Hung Vuong Volleyball Cup was held in 2005. That was the time when the National Strong Teams Volleyball Championship officially changed its name to the National Volleyball Championship and the Vietnam Volleyball Federation created more competition opportunities for players by launching the Hung Vuong Volleyball Cup.
Since then, the Hung Vuong Volleyball Cup has become an indispensable tournament after the end of the first phase of the National Volleyball Championship.
"Vocational volleyball is a sport that is very popular with Phu Tho people and neighboring localities, so the Hung Vuong Volleyball Cup is an indispensable tournament," said Mr. Nguyen Dac Thuy, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Phu Tho province.
Meanwhile, General Secretary of the Vietnam Volleyball Federation - Mr. Le Tri Truong expressed: "If we pay attention, the Hung Vuong Volleyball Cup always attracts the largest audience. This is a great spiritual encouragement for all participating teams. We have watched this tournament for many years and the games have never lacked in appeal. All teams participating in the tournament always want to win the championship because it is a prestigious professional result".
After 20 years of organization, Hung Vuong volleyball trophy witnessed many male teams and women's teams successfully defending the championship for themselves. In particular, many names of Vietnamese volleyball village have at least 1 time to win the Hung Vuong volleyball trophy such as Northeast Information, VietinBank, Geleximco Thai Binh, Duc Giang Lao Cai Chemical, VTV Binh Dien Long An (Nu) or the Cong Tan Cang, Border Guard MB, LPBank Ninh Binh, Sanest Khanh Hoa, Ho Chi Minh City, Long An (Men). Coach Pham Van Long (Northeast Information Army) is one of the people who have attended the Hung Vuong volleyball trophy for many stages and repeatedly championships.

This year, the Hung Vuong Volleyball Cup 2025 will witness two exciting finals: LPBank Ninh Binh - Northeast Information Corps (women) and MB Border Guard - Ho Chi Minh City Police (men).

In the tournament, in addition to the seats in the stands, the organizers are ready to arrange many side seats for the audience to cheer on the field.
Hung Vuong Volleyball Cup 2025 witnessed the story of "burning" tickets, especially with 2 finals. The professional factor has determined the success of the tournament because it is the place of competition of 4 male teams, the 4 strongest female teams participating. At the same time, the Organizing Committee allows the teams to hire additional foreign forces and inner soldiers to compete.
Mr. Le Tri Truong said that the highlight of the Hung Vuong Volleyball Cup 2025 is that there is no limit on the number of foreign players on the field at the same time. Thanks to that, teams such as Ho Chi Minh City Police, VTV Binh Dien Long An deployed 3 foreign players, The Cong Tan Cang had 2 foreign players competing. The audience witnessed quality matches between foreign players and Vietnamese stars.
