On the evening of April 7, the final match of the women's event of the Hung Vuong Cup 2025 volleyball tournament took place between LPB Ninh Binh and the Information Corps.
With full physical strength, LPB Ninh Binh won an overwhelming 3-0 victory (25-14, 25-21, 25-14), thereby winning the championship for the first time in this tournament. In the last two Hung Vuong Cup seasons, they both reached the finals but missed the deadline.
On the other side, the Information Corps just had to play 4 tense sets against VTV Binh Dien Long An last night (6.4)), so they were a bit out of breath against their opponent. After 7 years, the army team has just entered the Hung Vuong Cup final. Unfortunately, coach Pham Van Long and his team could not have complete joy.
In the third-place match in the men's event, The Cong Tan Cang defeated Da Nang with a score of 3-0 (25-23, 25-19, 26-24), thereby winning the bronze medal for the 4th consecutive time. With two foreign players Rodriguez Fuentes and Victor Andreu Flores, the army team showed superiority in the first 2 sets.
In set 3, Da Nang played hard, at times leading 24-22, but unfortunately could not bring the match into the 4th set. However, being able to participate in the Hung Vuong Cup is also a commendable achievement for this team.
