The main striker of the Information Corps volleyball is expected in the National U23 tournament

Today (September 14), the two teams of the Information Corps and Vietinbank will face each other in the opening match of the 2025 National U23 Volleyball Tournament. One of the faces that received the expectation was the main striker Pham Quynh Huong of the Information Corps.

Quynh Huong is one of the U21 Vietnam players who has just completed his mission at the VTV Cup 2025 and returned to the club to participate in the 2025 National U23 tournament in Thai Nguyen.

At VTV Cup 2025, the female striker born in 2008 is one of 16 candidates for the hoa hoa title. Quynh Huong impressed with her beautiful appearance and efforts on the field. She is often sent onto the field by coach Nguyen Trong Linh.

The Quang Ninh-born hitter has good high jumps and dangerous hitting power. However, due to partly psychological problems when facing her seniors, Quynh Huong's scoring efficiency in that tournament was not high.

Talking to Lao Dong, the representative of the Information Corps women's volleyball team said: "Quynh Huong is always a talented young player and is highly expected by the club. At VTV Cup 2025, Huong was given the opportunity to compete for the Vietnam U21 volleyball team.

I am shy when competing, not daring to show myself much. Maybe, partly due to psychology. Returning to the team participating in the 2025 National U23 Tournament, we expect Huong to be confident, compete well, and work with the whole team towards the highest goal in this year's tournament".

Pham Quynh Huong is a typical representative of the young generation of Vietnamese volleyball players. Although only 17 years old, the female captain of the Information Corps team is 1m87 tall. Therefore, Quynh Huong is known as version 2.0 of her senior Tran Thi Thanh Thuy.

With a jump of up to 3m and a blocking range of 2m89, Quynh Huong quickly left an impression in many tournaments. She actively participates in both the home team's attack and defense fronts, with her strength being powerful smashes through the block.

Head coach of the Vietnam women's volleyball team, Mr. Nguyen Tuan Kiet once commented: Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet said that it has been a long time since Vietnamese volleyball has had a potential athlete with great height and strength like Pham Quynh Huong.

This player has good strength and playing range but lacks flexibility. To develop better, Quynh Huong needs to receive investment as well as her own efforts.

Understanding the potential of this "angry star", the Information Corps team has created conditions for Quynh Huong to compete with her seniors Lam Oanh, Kieu Trinh... in many tournaments. The young girl from Quang Ninh has shown her passion, clear progress in playing style, momentum, and recklessness through each match.

At the 2025 National U23 tournament, when the general level of the teams is all players, players like Quynh Huong will be considered to be better. Therefore, coach Pham Van Long will certainly have calculations to fully exploit the strengths of Quynh Huong, thereby helping the Information Corps have a sharp attack, aiming for the championship of this year's tournament.
