Today (September 13), the first phase of the 2025 SEA V.League men's volleyball tournament ended in the Philippines.
Thailand successfully defended the championship title in the first leg. The Golden Temple team played 4 matches, with 3 wins and 1 loss. Kissada Nilsawai and his teammates earned 9 points. Despite a surprising defeat against Vietnam, Thailand still got the No. 1 position after the first leg.
The runner-up position in the first phase belongs to Indonesia. In the final match, the team from the archipelago met the host Philippines, although Rivan Nurmulki was kept, while Farhan Halim was injured in set 2, Indonesia still showed great strength, easily defeating the Philippines with a score of 3-0 to win the silver medal.
The Vietnam men's volleyball team finished with a bronze medal. Ngoc Thuan and his teammates won 2 and lost 2 matches, earning 7 points. This ranking of coach Tran Dinh Tien's team has improved compared to SEA V.League 2024.
The host Philippines is ranked 4th, while the rookie Cambodia is in last place.
