The coaching staff of the Binh Chung Thong Tin youth volleyball team has proposed to the Vietnam Volleyball Federation to let main hitter Pham Quynh Huong return to her managing unit to participate in the 2026 National Youth Club Championship. The tournament takes place in Ninh Binh from July 17 to July 28.
The Vietnam Volleyball Federation and the coaching staff of the Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team have agreed to the above proposal.
This means that Quynh Huong will temporarily be absent from the Vietnamese Women's Volleyball Team in July. It is expected that she will return to the Binh Chung Thong Tin youth team on July 10.
Last May, Quynh Huong was proposed by the coaching staff of the Vietnamese Women's Volleyball Team to concentrate her training squad to prepare for the 2026 AVC Cup.
However, the player could not concentrate and asked to join the army late due to having to take the high school graduation exam.
Quynh Huong is 1 of 14 players who have been trained by the Vietnamese Women's Volleyball Team to supplement the force at the current stage to prepare professionally towards the tasks of VTV Cup 2026, SEA V.League 2026.
Having to return to her managing team to participate in the 2026 Youth Club Championship will significantly affect Quynh Huong's chances of competing in the Vietnamese Women's Volleyball Team because she does not have much time to train with her teammates.
Quynh Huong is 1 of 3 players of the Information Corps team trained at the Vietnamese Women's Volleyball Team at Bac Ninh University of Physical Education and Sports at this time.
It is known that in addition to her, teammate Lai Thi Khanh Huyen will also return to the Binh Chung Thong Tin youth team to compete in the 2026 Club Youth Championship.
